In our PPD lesson we did another wonderful activity that
called egg protecting activity.
Our lecture divided pupils in equal three teams and gave an
egg to each team. We need to protect that egg from breaking when we throw that
from the top with given five A4 sheets and cello tape. She gave 45 minutes time
to make it.
We were group no 3 and members were
- Yashiru
- Karshan
- Sithara
- Mahesha
- Tedy
First we decided to cover egg by wrapping the cello tape all
over the egg. Than we thought that we only have 5 A4 sheet than how we cover the
egg with that. We decided to make a small cup with one A4 sheet and put the egg
safely inside that. After that we take another A4 sheets and cut that into
small pieces and put it inside the cup to protect egg and also closed the top
of the cup with that A4.
Next we made
sticks in the remaining sheets to keep them on the sides of the eggs. So
that will be protected from the pressure inserted if it is thrown from the top.
After our protection, our egg was like a man.
Then we were asked to hand over the eggs to test whether
it's breaking or not. Then we decided to take help from the tallest person from
our class. He was standing on a stool and throw it.
After thrown,
only one team was successful. That's ours.
It is very fun
and exciting activity.
